Dr. Mridula Sunil

As a highly motivated and accomplished personality she won the hearts of the faculties and friends. Soon after her graduation she joined world famous Aravind Hospital, Madurai for her Post Graduation in Ophthalmology during this period she devoted herself in mastering the art of surgery under the guidance of world renowned ophthalmologists.She became of the International counsels of ophthalmologists in 1996. She completed the DNB ophthalmology in 1998. Later she went to UK to persue her higher studies in ophthalmology; she completed her FRCS (Glasg) from the royal college of physicians and surgeons of Glasg and also FRCS (Edin) from the royal college of surgeons Edinburgh in 1999. During this period she attained immense experience in ophthalmology in various esteemed hospitals in UK.

Dr.Mridula dedicated to pursue a practice of her own in her country, she along with her husband Dr Sunil Sreedhar (CEO, Trinity Eye Hospital) started Trinity Eye Hospital with an aim of providing comprehensive and quality eye care with the people of Palakkad. Their goal was to provide the highest quality in eye care with most advanced facilities; she completed her fellow ship in retinal laser from the esteemed LV Prasad eye institute, Hyderabad in 2005.

She added one more fellowship in cataract and micro surgery from the prestigious Narayana Nethralaya, Bangalore. Dr.Mridula is also a member of the American Society of Cataract and refractive surgery. Besides being expert in the field of modern eye care she has written and composed many songs in her regional language and she is so versatile in singing. Trinity Eye Hospital has emerged to be one of the leading eye hospitals with the state of art infrastructure and facilities in Palakkad. The hospital is well equipped to the most advanced machineries, eminent doctors and dedicated Para medical staff. During her tenure Dr.Mridula Sunil has completed more than 1 Lakh cataract surgeries.

Dr.Mridula Sunil is the first eye surgeon to perform Micro Phaco surgery and Pterigium excision, Grafting with glue in Palakkad. Trinity Eye Hospital is serving more than 100,000 patients per year. Under Dr.Mridula Sunils supervision Teachers from various schools are provided training to detect visual loss in children at an early stage. Another feather on her cap is The Trinity academy of Optometry Studies, which trains students in various Para medical courses and thus help them pursue a career.
