Fellowship in Ophthalmology Programme 2026-2027

Commencement on: July 01, 2026

I. Phaco Fellowship Programme - Long Term

Along with: 3 months Medical Retina / Glaucoma (Optional)

  • Duration: 2 years & 6 months + 3 months
  • First 6 months: Pre-fellowship period - Stipend ₹1,00,000/- per month
  • Next 1 year: Phaco Fellowship Training - Stipend ₹50,000/- per month
  • Next 3 months: Medical Retina / Glaucoma (Optional) - Stipend ₹50,000/- per month
  • Next 1 year: Post Fellowship Contract as Regular Consultant at any of our centres - Remuneration ₹1,50,000/- per month
  • No. of Seats: 2 per year in each location (Already Filled)
  • Initial Fees: Nil
  • Accommodation: By own
  • Selection Criteria: DNB / MS - Interview based. Should have performed minimum 50 cases of SICS

II. Short Term Fellowship in SICS (Palakkad, Calicut & Coimbatore)

  • Duration: 1 month
  • Selection Criteria: DO / DNB / MS - Interview based
  • Course Fee: ₹50,000/-
  • No. of Cases: 15 cases
  • No. of Seats: 1 per month (Next Available in September 2026)

III. Advanced Phaco Fellowship Programme (Palakkad, Calicut & Coimbatore)

  • Duration: 1 month
  • Course Fee: ₹1,50,000/- per month
  • No. of Cases: 20 cases
  • Case Types: EDOF, Multifocal & Toric
  • Selection Criteria: DNB / MS - Interview based
  • No. of Seats: 1 at a time

IV. Short Term Medical Retina Fellowship Programme (Palakkad)

  • Duration: 3 Months for beginners
  • Course Fee: ₹20,000/- per month
  • Selection Criteria: DNB / MS / MD - Interview based
  • Hands on B Scan, Retinal Lasers, OCT, FFA and Intravitreal Injections
  • Focus: Clinical & Diagnostic Excellence, FFA, OCT & B Scan
  • Intake: Starts from July, October, January & April (1 Person in every quarter)

V. Short Term Medical Glaucoma Fellowship Programme (Palakkad & Calicut)

  • Duration: 3 Months for beginners
  • Course Fee: ₹20,000/- per month
  • Selection Criteria: DNB / MS / MD - Interview based
  • Focus: Clinical & Diagnostic Excellence, HFA, OCT, Pachymetry, Gonio & AT
  • Intake: Starts from July, October, January & April (1 Person in every quarter)

Remuneration is inclusive of taxes.

Comprehensive Ophthalmology fellowship programme

COURSE FEES:90,000

DURATION: (1 YEAR TRAINING +6 MONTHS DUTY)

STIPEND

FIRST SIX MONTHS INR(40,000+5,000 FOR ACCOMMODATION)

SECOND SIX MONTHS INR(45,000+5,000FOR ACCOMMODATION)

Pre requisite

  • The candidate should bring their apron, 90D & direct ophthalmoscope.
  • Candidate should maintain the log book which will be provided by the institution.
  • Should be wearing the ID card during the duty time & in the hospital campus.

Terms and Conditions

  • After the duration of 1year the candidate have to work for us for the next 6 months as junior consultant.
  • During this tenure you will be provided Rs.70000 as your salary and 5000 for accommodation.
  • Your work location will be at Trinity Eye Hospital - Palakkad, Calicut or Coimbatore as well as the sub branches. During your work period you are asked to look after the OPD, Surgeries, Camp followed by various departments.
  • After the completion of your 6 months work period we will consider your performance, skill and if you are interested you can join as a consultant for our TRINITY Health.
