What does Low Vision mean?

Some people have a visual impairment that cannot be corrected with contact lenses, medication, eyeglasses, or surgery. Low vision limits their sight and becomes a hindrance to doing regular work. However, in some cases, persons with low vision may be aided with special visual devices.
